    Intensive Course in Applied Epidemiology
    King's College, University of Aberdeen, UK

    Although the course is particularly aimed at practitioners and researchers in musculoskeletal disease, it covers concepts and methods common to all chronic disease epidemiology. At the end of the course, delegates will have a thorough grounding in the principles of study design, the collection and analysis of data in epidemiological studies, and various methodological aspects of epidemiological study, including bias, confounding, validity and reliability.

    CAMSTRAND 2010
    The University of Bristol and United Bristol Hospitals Foundation Trust will jointly be hosting the complementary therapy conference CAMSTRAND 2010, with the theme of 'Funding complementary therapy research'.
    Key note speakers are Dr. Graham Rich, Chief Executive of United
    Bristol Hospitals, and Professor Gene Feder of the Academic Unit of Primary
    Health Care.
    There is an optional grant-writing course that will be led by
    Professor Kate Thomas and Dr. Hugh MacPherson the day before, Weds 21 April.
