| Biography: |
I've been involved in Complementary Medical Research with a particular emphasis on clinical trials and acupuncture for the last 30 years. My first degree was in bio-chemistry, I subsequently qualified as a physician and a general practitioner and had been fascinated by the whole area of complementary medicine and acupuncture since learning about acupuncture in Nanjing, China in 1977. | Teaching Activities: | I've been involved in teaching medical undergraduates throughout most of my medical career, both in conventional medicine and now more recently in CAM familiarisation courses. Over the years I've also taught acupuncture to physiotherapists and doctors as a clinical discipline. |
| Research Interests: | Forschende My research interests are broad spanning, qualitative and quantitative work as well as carefully designed studies that evaluate the effect that acupuncture has on the nervous system through techniques such as functional MRI. I have pursued academic excellence in the area of complementary medicine. |
